I wasn't talking actual video quality or anything, though. I was referring specifically to the controllers themselves. I've always found that the Playstation controllers have felt more natural than most. At least to me. Then again, they are also the closest design to the NES/SNES era. Which is where I spent the majority of my gaming youth. Anything that doesn't at least slightly conform to that design just feels alien to me.
I the PSX controller. It just feels like home. I like the SNES controller, but the PSX controller just feels like a more refined version of it. I hated those buttons that were concave. It was just uncomfortable.

Pretty much this. I don't mind concave buttons, but the Playstation controller just feels right. Then again, the NES controller just feels right as well, sharp edges that dig into your palms and all.
I didn't play a lot of Dreamcast, but I don't remember it being that great.
Then again, I mostly played shmups.
I remember watching my cousin play one of the DC NFL titles; looked so clean and realistic back then. House of the Dead was pretty fun, but we had to play it using the pad.
