With books, I definitely understand. And agree. But with a game, unless I have an Internet connection right there with me at all times (which I don't, because I'm too cheap to get a smart phone), there's no way to check to see if the games are related by plot or by name only. Therefore, I took a gamble on the fact that, even if I've never played the game before, the developers aren't going to be stupid enough to let someone new to the series run around in utter confusion just because they never bought the first game. I'm pretty sure I'll get by.
It's not that big a deal if the MC(s) change. If it's direct continuation, it's very strange to play out of order. I always check before I play the game if I'm getting a random game in a series.

And pretty much anything else that had a multi-platform release, it was much better on one of the other platforms. Just my experience.
    RE4 isn't .

I'm not really that concerned with it.
Well, I haven't finished OoT, nor have I played Majora's Mask.

Yeah, but I'm not that picky. A game is a game. 'sides, from what I've been reading, they are different main characters, but set in the same environment eight years in the future. Someone who has played both games can correct me, since I'm trying not to read too much of the info out of fear of spoilers.

Ocarina of Time is still one of my favourite games. At the very least, finish it. You can ignore Majora's Mask. Fuck that game.

Spoilers have saved me from wasting time on many a game.

Compared to the GC, the PS2 version looks like garbage. I want to play the remake of OoT sometime, it just isn't worth buying a 3DS for one game.

I try to avoid them when I've already bought the game. Not as big of a concern if I happen across a spoiler for something that I haven't already paid money for (unless I'm actually looking forward to it), but when I have the product in my hands, that's a different story.

Also, I just realized that I got halfway through loading the dishwasher and then just... stopped. Door still open, bottom rack pulled all the way forward, etc. I basically just told myself, "fuck this," and sat down on the couch.

    No wonder I can't get a girl.

I wasn't talking actual video quality or anything, though. I was referring specifically to the controllers themselves. I've always found that the Playstation controllers have felt more natural than most. At least to me. Then again, they are also the closest design to the NES/SNES era. Which is where I spent the majority of my gaming youth. Anything that doesn't at least slightly conform to that design just feels alien to me.

Thanks, but honestly, I haven't even gotten to the story yet. I've heard it's a really good game, and the setting and everything really interest me, I just have awful luck with it. I think I'm going to try it on an WinXP machine... not now though. Thanks though.

I don't mind it in small doses. It's a good "turn on the TV and zone out" show, but not something I can watch over a period of time. Or feel the need to follow to any extent.

Definitely think they've overplayed most of their jokes, though. If I hear "bazinga" one more time I'm going to smack a bitch.
