Anyone else feel it? I never felt anything like that before. Was pretty freaky. 5.8 on the Richter Scale. Possible aftershocks within the next hour. Wasn't violent by me (Coastal NJ), but to watch my fishtank sway, my bed move with me on it, and my dresser moving.

Also in NJ, my god damn TV fell over. I'm so mad right now.

Lol, I slept through the only Earthquake I've ever been in. Think it was 4-5 on the Richter Scale.

I'm in PA, and it was pretty mild here. Lasted maybe 15-20 seconds, and was just a mild shaking. Like, if you put my house on the end of a washer's spin cycle
I honestly didn't think it was an earthquake at first

Oooh, I couldn't wait to come home and see the thread that was inevitably going to be created about this.

I live about 30 miles away from the epicenter. And I was at work, which means I was back in the stockroom on a flimsy scaffolding floor surrounded by large amounts of flimsy metal and shoe boxes. It was an interesting experience, to say the least.

Seriously? That sucks, but I think you'll be okay without a television for a little while. Buildings are falling over in the town where my mom, sister and brother live. Firetrucks and helicopters everywhere. They're about 36 miles away from the epicenter.

    I didn't feel a thing.

That's the 3rd earthquake I've been in, and missed.

There was a small quake in the UK a few years ago, but it was enough to wake me up...

Supposedly we're getting a hurricane this weekend, too.

You haven't missed the whole party, yet!

I heard on the radio today that the hurricane is turning a bit more than previously thought, so all we'll see here are some clouds.

Whenever it was that Ike hit, we ended up with pretty much hurricane conditions all the way over here in Indiana. It was nuts.

Hurricane conditions are generally near a body of water. That there watering hole dun count.

We had torrential rain, 60+ mph sustained wind, flooding, and tons of damage.

I'm not arguing 13 mph as to whether it was a hurricane or not.

I have never really experienced "bad" weather. The power goes out once or twice every summer, but thats just because of rain. It could be avoided if we just put the power lines underground.
