Wii is a good console.
I love the Mac OSX, it's the best OS ever released by Mac.(verbal irony, sometimes referred to as sarcasm, there is also irony in the fact that people don't know the difference between the two, and I just used both in one sentence.)
More ironically is the fact that mac still sucks, after all these years of "improvements".
"Bright and cold, the flash of steel,
Alone I roam over desolate fields,
My sword, I no longer need,
The evening wind will carry me home."
I've been trying to figure out how I can articulate this for a while, but the pursuit of pleasure itself seems to be very "ironic" if you will. This coming from somebody who has come very close to death from different substance addictions. And throughout my life, that same pattern has played out. I work hard and things start going well for me, and so in turn I feel better about myself. I reward myself with some relaxation time....and then ten years have passed and I have completely fucked everything up. Alright the last part only happened once, but it's like I just get so carried away with instant gratification and overindulgence, and it gets out of control so quickly.
What I'm getting at is that I really only feel truly happy when I feel challenged by a long term and nearly impossible goal, and if I'm "nice" to myself, or go easy on myself, it all falls apart. I don't know if that's true irony but it's a peculiar dichotomy in my own life and it's something I have had to learn to deal with. That, and accepting that I will invariably do or say something stupid at some point, and there's really no reason to beat myself up for it because in the end I just have to make allowances for that propensity.
I remember hearing about a news story out of Michigan where the Republicans who are anti-abortion are closing down a state-run school for high-school mothers who choose to not have abortions and was actually a very successful school, better then the national average. So you know...the woman who didn't get abortions are getting punished for doing so by the same people who think they should do it.

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

I just have to say this: I feel like the term "ironic" is some kind of trap because no matter what you deem to be ironic, some quasi intellectual can pounce on you and say: "Pshaw, but that's not 'true' irony."

That's...pretty normal, actually, if you know how hurricanes work. After all, a hurricane is just a huge toroidal cell, like all cyclones. The outside (beyond the visible cloud edge) is delineated by a high-pressure system, the inside by a low-pressure system. That's the reason why whenever you see sat pics of cyclones, you tend to see a sharp delination between clouds and clear.
