I used legit keys with XP until it stopped accepting the one I was using. I needed a legit key to get the Service Packs, and I needed the Service Packs in order for it to read USB mass storage devices, so I Googled around until I found a guide on messing with the registry to make it prompt you for a CD key again, then used the CD key they had at the bottom of the tutorial.

I've never had that problem with running DOSBox on Vista. But you shouldn't actually need the slashes for anything other than quicker navigation. You can get there by simply doing cd progra~1, cd tlo, true_love95, etc.

I went Wizard. I find the spell targeting system shitty but, the spells are powerful. I was able to rape a lot of the bosses, and enemies in general, with a bow.

How am I supposed to setup the virtual drive?

Edit the shortcut you use to run DOSBox. You can set it to mount on startup instead of having to type it in when you start. But like I said, I've never had it not recognize keys in Vista.

Googling shows that other people have had that issue/similar issues, though. Perhaps try a different version?

EDIT: Actually, check this out. It says your keyboard settings could be wrong.

Something tells me I might end up restarting as some sort of spell class. We're going to find out, though.

    But yeah, I probably will.

Why restart? You can buy all the spells you start out with. The only real difference is stat related. A couple levels will fix all of that.

Not that it matters. By the end I was dual wielding fuckhuge swords when I wasn't casting AOE death spells.

There should be info on how to do it in the readme or something like that. I had it set up on my other computer to mount just the one folder that I kept my dos shit in, but I've formatted since then.

    Or this.
We'll find out how attempt #2 against Phalynx goes, after I've purchased a firebomb or twenty.

I can't remember where I put the DOSBox installer . I'll probably end up using the front end once I get DOSBox installed again.

Clearly you should set up the config file to boot into DOSShell instead.

Queen on one side, duck on the other.

    It's a Loon.

Which is why we call it a loonie.

So the queen is a two-faced duck?
