That's correct. The alternate way to do that is d/b, d, d/f, d, d/b, b, u/b + 3K (123632147 + KKK).
General rules to follow:
1) Make sure you have enough charge time in the d/b position.
2) Make sure you hit all the attack buttons after hitting the u/b or u/f positions. If you getting a jump attack you pressing too late, if your getting a normal or ex flash you aren't pressing all three kicks.
3) Take your time and relax. The only direction that will discard your charge is to walk forward so if your rushing your inputs because your afraid then calm down and take your time.
Advanced Techniques:
Using a dash or Focus attack dash to move forward and catch your opponents off guard.
Using it as a reversal during a corner cross up situation. Most times your opponents will cross you up in the corner trying to get you to lose your charge. However if you input the forward motion and then quickly roll your thumb/stick to the u/b position it will eat up any combo attempt your opponent is using on you. IT IS NOT SAFE IF THEY DIDN'T CONTINUE THEIR COMBO AFTER THE JUMP IN.
