How do you record your dreams if they're in your head?

I hardly ever remember my dreams anyway. Only if I sleep for a stupidly long amount of time, like 10 hours or so. If I get 8 or less then nope, no dreams.

Well if you remember your dreams you record them by writing them down, write enough details of the dream so that you will be reminded of the dream the next time you read about it, this is supposed to help you remember your dreams.

It's even weirder when you wake up and you don't remember shit about it.

It's weirder when you're in a dream and realise that it's a dream and then decide to wake up.

Or when you hear sounds from outside and they merge with your dream.

I dreamt I was in this wasteland, walking non-stop and I found a radio playing Californication. I woke up a couple of minutes after, and guess what was my brother listening to?

    Weird.

    I hate dreams.

I always dream about: having something I really want, a game/money/car something like that, then I wake up and have a sad when it's not real.

Or I dream I'm driving. Then I wake up and get super depressed.

I'm starting to notice that only five or six guys play SSF2HDR on XBL, it's always the same pro guys in there.

There's different techniques for focusing on what you want to dream about, too. Like I've said, I've never gotten it to work on purpose, but I do think it'll help distract your mind. It's been claimed that you can explore a lot of psychological things while lucid dreaming, too. "Deal" with issues and possible outcomes for it, or de-stress by exploring worlds your subconscious creates or whatnot.

Of course, if you hate dreams, it's probably not as tempting for you. So instead I'll recommend trying astral projection! Woo! This is when you try to have an out-of-body experience. There are actually quite a few more meditation techniques for this, like relaxing muscles in you body one at a time, concentrating on "opening your eyes" without actually opening them. I personally don't put a lot of stock in this being possible, seems like it would be just a very focused dream that you're walking around while you're sleeping, BUT the process of trying it is very sleep-inducing for me.

Either way, the point is to think of something else while trying to get to sleep instead of sleeping, regardless of what you actually focus on.

You sound like you know a lot about dreaming? Is it your dream (no pun intended) to be a dream doctor or something?
