    But medium is SO USEFUL.

The solution is clearly mashing all the buttons with your hand . Useful for doing nothing ?

It's useful for being in between jab and fierce. And... other stuff I guess.

After back reading all I have to say is:
    Spoiler warning:

    I wish I was here.

And I only find the medium punch and kick to reduce projectile velocity/properties.
Other than that, it's pretty much there for nothing.

Hey, hey, medium kick is also good, sometimes. But yes, I find that, for most projectiles, the longer they are on screen the better they are.

I rarely use weak projectiles, except in Fatal Fury.

It's all in the mind games.

There is way too much psyduck in this thread.

I guess it really depends on the game, when it comes to medium's function. I know the street fighter shoto's crouching forward is pretty strong, and linkable to all sorts of garbage.

I don't need a projectile to move in on someone .

That's because mind games are important in fighting games. Mind games are the only way I can think of to outmaneuver and outplay an opponent. Since you can't always relay on the match up winning itself.
