So far, this is the game this gen that I most regret not buying at full price.

It came out during a flood of RPGs. Several of them JRPGs. So I held off, intending to pick it up later.

I see it a while later for 30 dollars. I had an itch for an RPG and DAII wasn't seeming like such a good choice at the time due to the likelihood of an eventual GOTY.

I now feel terrible that the game didn't fly off the shelves and I may have contributed to that ever so slightly. I'll rectify this immediately if they ever make a Nier II. Or ever localize the grimoire. But that's what fan translations are for!

I remember looking into it a little more after you recommended it to me in the past. I think I developed some half-formed opinion on it, and you mentioned Drakengard and such. Then I watched some videos and recognized the Valkyrie Profile guy's voice. I was pretty much sold on it.

I vaguely recall having another game in my hands at the same with the same price tag. I must have had a limited amount to spend, and decided on something else. What that something else might have been though, I haven't the slightest clue.

I'm seriously thinking about picking it up tomorrow, though.
