If you softmodded the wii, there should be no need. If I'm not mistaken, there is a region free option.

Wouldn't it be easier to just dl an NTSC instead, or is it PAL region exclusive?
EDIT: a reply to the post above, there is indeed a region modifier.

Just so you know but you can always force display in USB loader GX without patching as with most loaders
Done it the other way round with a couple of games (NTSC 60 to PAL 60)

You didn't do it correctly then it's still PAL for it to be black n white same goes for NTSC on PAL TV sets untill you get the display correct
Pick a game as if to load
Hit Settings
Hit Game Load
Change Video Mode to AutoPatch
I use IOS 249 if that even makes a difference
