Charity Muggers You know the people who come up to you on a street ask you to donate for a charity and won't take no for an answer.

Ahh, I see, we get quite a few of those. I'm in the process of coming up with some witty replies so they leave me alone e.g. a man asks for donations for starving children, and I say all that talk of starving has made me hungry and walk off. My brother has a good one for people who ask "have you got any spare change for the bus?" His reply "It's ok I'll walk"

Are they armed or what's stopping you from punching them in the face and run around them?

I got harassed about cancer or something; I told them I didn't care and I would never donate. They left me alone . I might have said something about them needing to get cancer too, it's been months.

We already give to Focus Ireland, a charity which helps homeless people and the money actually gets to where it is supposed to go and not siphoned off to the wrong people.

Dunno, wish I could punch them, half of them are from organisations half of them are just beggars, some of which have such outlandash stories about how for example they father has terminal cancer and they need to get a train to the next town, and all they need is the price of a 4 pack of beer to get there

I know. It's universal I guess, in downtown you gotta keep your eyes open in case some guy ambushes you asking you for donations. They set their eyes on you and that's it, they're gonna chase you, fucking annoying.

I heard that most of the aid given doesn't actually get to the people its meant for (siphoned as you said) If I could find a charity to give to that would actually do its job, I would.

Not directly no, but they suck up to the USA and UK alot who are more prime targets.

also it was the prime ministers building that was bombed, eye witnesses show many dead

Reports are a bit scattered though

Oh, and my girlfriend lives kinda close to train tracks, and you wouldn't believe the amount of immigrants from Honduras and El Salvador that get off the trains and lurk around to gather money to 'continue their journey to the USA'.

    Yeah, no.
