Which is actually one of the reasons I enjoy getting the platinum in games. I feel like I'm actually getting what I paid for out of the game, especially the more expensive titles (re: newer games). Yeah, I paid $35 for Alice: Madness Returns (I used some loyalty points to knock $20 off, plus my discount card, etc), but I got about a week's worth of solid entertainment out of it (as in, other than when I was at work, I was playing Alice. So probably close to thirty to thirty-five hours of gameplay). If I was just playing through the games to beat them and never touch them again, I wouldn't be able to afford to buy enough games to keep up, and I would lose interest in gaming for a bit. And then my PS3 would start to make sad noises. It would randomly turn on and ask me what is wrong. Why don't I love it anymore? Why didn't I call to say I was going to be late last night? Dinner was laid out and everything.
