That's mostly true, I pretty much grew up on Street Fighter II and III, but I did play Tekken 3 and Soul Calibur extensively when they were around. I don't know why since then 3d fighters have soured for me.Originally Posted by king0427

It all comes down to the first game said player played first.
For example, let's say Warrior's first fighting game was Street Fighter.
He would most likely have an affinity to 2D games, because he's more familiar with 2D fighting games.
(It's just an example Warrior.)
As for me, I enjoy most fighting games.
Except those that some characters are extremely broken gameplay-wise.
Now and days all I really play fighting game-wise is Street Fighter and SNK fighters.
