I changed ISP last year and they gave me a 802.11n router.

The only problem is only one device can use 802.11n

Why don't you just buy a very long ethernet cable to go from the router to the wii?

An ethernet cord is a good way to go.

I'm considering buying an adapter that supposedly has a range of 1.24 miles .

I've got a really long cable which runs from my room to the one with the HDTV, it's a bit cumbersome at times, but completely worth it. Not to mention that the 360 Wireless thing is like $100.

You still haven't said why you can't use a very long ethernet cable?

I mean they are quite cheap.

Anyway, buy a cord, they are super cheap on eBay. Or Tassadar and Fer can beat me to the punch .

Because then I would have to get a Lan adapter for the wii, then a router, and the cord.

The Wii doesn't just have support for LAN connections ?
