To be fair, as someone who fully supports women's football and wants to see it improve, even I have to admit that the current level of quality is pretty low. I don't think it has much to do with them being women, being that women can be perfectly capable athletes. It's just a case of not enough money + not enough interest + not enough quality coaches = not especially high end product. I think only someone who doesn't follow very much men's football would try to tell you the two are comparable in terms of quality, and even putting aside physical differences, it's a sad truth that the best female players would struggle to hack it in the men's game on technical ability alone. That being said, women's football is still pretty young, and I think in time things will only get better and better. I'm not of the opinion that women can't be fantastic football players. Just that there aren't really any right now who are. I support the game not as somebody who thinks it's fantastic football, but as somebody who knows it needs support to grow and develop.

IIRC the first video or two (up to when Altair is told to kill the 9. It's where the prologue esque section ends. I *think* it runs into the second, but I cannot be certain) should cover the basis, then just check the last 2 (Robert de Sable onward) to get the "real" story on what's going on.

There's essentially no plot between those 2 points.

You can safely skip the history bits he does. They're quite interesting, but they don't do a whole lot to enhance the premise.
