When I was in kindergarten my "teacher", or whatever I should call it, brought all of us kids to her garden where she had this giant hollow oak with sockerdricka in it. Just like Pippi Longstocking! Feeling better?

    YES!!!

when I was a kid we traveled to Ostersund, and at a restaurant I sat and watched Emil in the kids corner. The episode of the fair where Alfred gets into a fight and Emil drinks tons of bottles of sockerdricka. The restaurant sold the same type bottles, I had 10.
that's where its started, when we travel across the border we only go as far as Åre. But usually just across the border to Storlien. They only have the lame branded stuff, like ICA sockerdricka... I still buy 5 huge bottles every time.

One of my friends moved to Norway and works at some company as a safety inspector or something on large building projects. He makes big cash and I'm quite jealous. Last he was here in Sweden I drove him home to his parents and he gave me 100 SEK. I asked if he was sure as I thought it was too much for that short route. He said like "pfff Swedish money is like Monopoly money to me!". I thought that was kinda funny...

It's nothing terribly seriously. I have what's called a "hydrocele." Essentially, it's a sack of fluid that has wrapped around my testicle that isn't draining, so I need to go in and have it emptied and... plugged, I guess. He explained the procedure to me, but I can't quite remember everything that he said.

Essentially, my right nut is four times larger than my left nut, and it's intimidating the other guys. So, in order to even out the playing field, I'm having it reduced to a more... managable size.

Ah, so that's what Drageuth is getting done, I thought it was something far more serious.

    I sure hope so.
Four days after the surgery, a nurse gets to come by my house and take out the drain.

Pretty sure that will be on my nephew's first birthday. GUESS WHO WON'T BE AT THE PARTY!!

    This guy.

Yeah. It's nothing terribly serious, but if it isn't taken care of it'll keep growing ever so slowly over time. Probably until it's the size of a bean bag chair.
In which case, I'll sure save a lot of money on furniture.

Apparently (according to the doctor at the walk-in clinic when I really started to get worried about it), one of the most common causes of a hydrocele is some kind of bug infection. It's fairly common in Africa, and apparently the doctor has heard stories of guys who have to carry their sacks around in wheelbarrows.
