Also, I don't really care about E3, unless Atlus was streaming, which they are not.

Yeah Vita sounds strange but PSV sounds okay. NGP would be best though but it won't be called that unfortunately.

Although I agree, I think they intentionally are trying to distance themselves from the PSP brand. It didn't do very well in many places of the world, and it was sort of a joke among most people as to how easily hacked it was..

If you look at it objectively, the choice of "Vita" is considerably better than PSP2. Vita is short enough that it doesn't require an abbreviation, and it's also different enough from every other console's name that it's not going to confuse someone who doesn't know what the hell you're talking about. Personally, I think the departure from calling everything "<Brand> <Type> <Number>" is a good choice. I would imagine the names PS6 and PSP4 would end up causing far more problems than profits.

Then again, it reminds me of "Vista". And nobody likes Vista.
