So I've only just found out you can upgrade an XBOX's HDD through the console itself using Chimp.

    What the hell?

Yeah, although I've never tried it. I kept a spare PC for XBHDM.

I found XboxHDM to be a massive PITA.

And I haven't got a Y splitter molex cable anymore and I can't be arsed to make one, so I guess I'll just play PS3 instead.

I was just laughing to myself...I bought that game for the 360 on release day.
It only took me 3 years and 2 months to beat it

Being able to game in 16 hour sessions helps

I would wager we both had about the same game completion time (not counting all the times I had to start over).

My first playthrough was around 28 hours IIRC, second was 16 hours.

I kinda did the same thing as you with Final Fantasy VII years ago, I bought a memory card used from Gamestation and it had a 9 hour save on, where they were around the middle/end of disc 1 so I adopted that save and used it as my own as I couldn't be arsed to play the beginning for the 100th time... Only problem with that save was they named Tifa Emma. So in my best FFVII save my Tifa is called Emma.

Both times I did little to no side-quests. I really should work on the 100% but damn those jumps and flying rats.
