One time, at work, I was pricing frozen turkeys. The cases were pretty heavy, so whenever I put them up on the pricing table, they kind of "slammed" down. Not hard, but enough to make the hand pricer bounce just a little bit each time.
After about sixty cases of them, I put one of the last cases up on the table... and the hand pricer toppled over and broke. This machine was also the "brain" for our two auto-wrappers, and this was the day before our weekly price changes came down.
Cost $3000 to repair.
... and now it's bolted to the table.
