Which anime are you currently watching?

Not much for gory movies and anime. Is Monster gory?
Baccano and Durarara i'll definitely look into though.
Apparently, there is an anime called BASTARD!!

Monster is a mystery thriller about a man who saves a young boy who becomes a serial killer, it moves slow at first but it's honestly the most complete plot I've ever seen in any form of media. Absolutely everything has a role.

Bastard!! is fun, but it's only a short OVA with no ending.

Its a very strange series, but not quite strange enough to stop watching.

That's hardly the weirdest thing to happen in SB. After all, this is a show where a sword fight isn't a real sword fight unless it results in a small nuclear explosion and where a character's sheer badassery and manliness can beat everything. Including gravity.

I don't get why people compare Bastard to Berserk. They aren't actually similar once you watch them.

I'd say personally that Bastard! is more wild and over the top whilst Berzerk is darker and grittier. Either one would be a good way to turn someone on to the old style if they were already into fantasy/swords & sorcery.

If they don't like comedy/fantasy for whatever reason, the first season of Orphen is dark, and in an older style. I don't like Berserk at all .

Watching Rune Soldier again, because it's my favorite anime.
