I knew it was there somewhere, but I couldn't find it either.
Apparently (thanks to inferno. for pointing this out...), you can just hold ctrl and scroll, and it'll change the size of the icons. It's a nice trick, I just wish I would have known about it sooner

Heh. I just recently learned you can do that in Firefox too. It helps out a lot when you are as blind as I am.

The same works on browsers, Ctrl+0 resets the size too.
I need to go to the opticians, the left lens in my glasses is getting a bit weak.
This happens like every 2-3 years, it just goes a bit shitty and I need a newer pair.
I just got new glasses yesterday. I normally keep the same pair for 5 - 10 years. Contacts, on the other hand, are something you continuously have to buy, and get an exam every year.

Not if you buy a 2 year supply at a time

I knew it worked in Firefox, and in GIMP, I just didn't realize it affected the desktop as well :O
I did that once. And I wore them longer than recommended, so it was about 2 1/2 years before my next exam. Bot, did I ever get a lecture from the eye doctor
I got this pair of glasses in 2008 I think, or was it 2007... Either way, I've had them a good few years. I think to be legal to drive a car I'd probably need a new pair. The distance you need to be able to read a license plate at is pretty insane.

=P
I usually only keep them for about as long as the box says, although my eye doctor said that realistically I can get away with a month

The eye test for licenses here is a joke. If you read the letters wrong, they ask you "Doesn't that B look more like an 8 to you?"
