Im hoping my options open up a little. I have followed what seems to be a straight path with a few story arcs that amounted to nothing. Even FF1 was more open than this. Sure You were restricted by the ridiculous enemy levels, but you could always dream!

I would play more PC games if my hardware were better. But then again, I would have better hardware if it wasn't so expensive.
The only reason I can play the console games that I do is becuase of piracy.

Is this where I post the obligatory "PC gaming isn't actually as expensive as some people tend to say" comment?

Also, I want to punch the people involved with that Extra Credits show on The Escapist. So much pretentious bullshit. SO, SO MUCH.

I know this wasn't really directed at me, but PC gaming isn't something I've stayed away from due to expense. I just grew up with consoles, and I generally prefer them.

Well im 50/50 on that if your initial investment is a decent amount to get some good gear in it can last ya a while, but that involves some moola for that, after you can be all good for like 3 years maybe 4
If you go low end then your upgrading every few months it feels and ends up your pc is a huge money vacuum

But ya it can be expensive i aint denying it

Depends on your current hardware, if you have a computer made within the last 4 years, you could upgrade to better specs for $250ish, less if you get stuff off eBay.

Im a Hypocrite, I know. IT Major.
I suppose the amount of console games that I want to play outweigh those on PC though. Since I have a decent Tv now, I suppose I'll build myself an awesome PC next.
I just like excuses, you see.

The thing is, you don't necessarily have to get the most high-end machine. Mine isn't one and I've been using it since early 2008. I shake my head every time I see some random smartass posting something about PC gaming forcing you to buy a computer for thousands (!) of bucks, or having to upgrade every few months. That is so not true.

And that wasn't specifically aimed at you, Jazz, so don't worry. Just my overall 2 cents.

The same could be said about me, honestly, except replace console with PC.

It only really gets expensive if you buy every new video card as it comes out, or a shortly after. With an HD5670 and a 2.5ghz quad core, I'll be set for at least a couple of years.
