You get used to it.

I find I don't squint as much, especially when I'm not wearing my glasses. And I've always preferred dark text on light background verses light text on dark background. Just easier on the eyes, for me.

I frequently browse EP late at night when it's rather dark in my apartment. I prefer to keep unnecessary brightness to a minimum.

The only lights on in my apartment are the snake's lamp, and the little light underneath the microwave (which is mounted on the underside of a small cabinet above my stove).
