    Default cd roms

Hi all, I was just wondering if it was possible to play games that I actually bought, but since I've sold my playstation 1, cannot play any more? I thought I saw somewhere that PSX could do it but I can't find the info anymore. So if you guys could help I would appreciate it. thanks

Pretty much all PSX emulators have a "load CD-ROM" option which will let you play a game in the disc drive. I recommend using ePSXe 1.7 (go here if you need help setting it up). Everything else is pretty straight forward. Although you will still get better results if you rip the game into an ISO and play from that rather than your CD-ROM drive. Something about the two spinning at different rates, or something.

Yes, ePSXe can easily do it. Just pop the disk into your disk drive, boot up ePSXe, then click File>Run CDROM. Simple as that.

You may find the odd game does not work this is due to copy protection but you can find patches to fix those, with ePSXe you can use on the fly patching so you don't need to rip your CD's (Look at the ePSXe documentation for that I don't remember off the top of my head the location you have to keep those or the exact file names you need to use, but it's something like name the patch files the same as the main exec file on the CD)
