UGHHHH, I accidentally installed KB971033, now WAT is being extremely annoying. Hopefully there's a way to remove it and re-activate Windows.

Still running XP and feelin' fine.

Did a quick search and supposedly some people had success removing it by going to; "Control Panel >> Windows Update >> View update history >> on top before listing of all updates, To remove an update, see…click where it says Installed Updates >> Select your poison and remove it"

Also read that someone avoided it by going to a previous restore point they had from two weeks prior.

    Wouldn't know myself though, I haven't used Windows 7.

I think that was the problem. I let my mom use my desktop for FIVE MINUTES, and she installed all the updates I didn't want installed. She set all the settings to factory default, which included automatic updates. Now Windows is shitbombing me with messages of 'U CANT DO THT'.

I actually found something to remove it, and it actually worked. At least I'm less angry, but it still pisses me off a little.

Lesson be learned, don't let anyone ever touch my computers ever again.

Yeah, I really should just run XP. 7 has been giving me nothing but crap lately, and I don't ever remember dealing with this on XP.

Never really tried Vista, but I'm guessing it's even worse.
