There is a certain possibility that such an occurrence may not, in fact, be as infrequent as one might initially postulate. In fact, analysis of available data indeed suggests that such a hypothetical, as presented, may indeed bear some correlational correspondence with the preponderance of prior occurrences. I don't think that's what they're saying. They're just saying that it's irrelevant, and communicating that poorly. "Nothing different" is frequently used in vernacular to mean "nothing important different." Hence my comment.
