What exactly is shield in Melty Blood?
That's the only thing I don't understand in that game.

Shield is the D button. If you use the shield button in blood heat, and it succeeds in blocking, you will perform a last arc.

I dont think there is a shield IIRC, but instead a "reflect", which you have to time perfectly...
