Derp, anything with a M15/MA15 rating isn't allowed to legally be sold to anyone under the age of 15.
Its a case of, no one enforces this rule.

Man, I had a homework due last night that I didn't do. I figured "Eh, I'll just do it tomorrow and take the 1% deduction (out of 11)." So I just went to start it and he added an extension after it had already expired, so now it's not due till next Sunday. And I no longer have the motivation to actually do it now.

    Good point.

(Still, we got over halfway through and the requirements for finishing this thing are less bullshit than ZAMN was. FUCKING ZAMN)

M rating: Can't be sold to anyone under 17 (games get this rating all the time)
AO rating: Can't be sold to anyone under 18 (games never get this rating, people refuse to keep them in stock. One of the largest scandals involved 18+ content in a 17+ game)

Frankly, I find the ERSB to be pretty absurd too.

(Japan regularly rates M rated games with an equivalent AO rating)

Do it now and by the time Sunday rolls around, not only will you have some spare time, but your beard hair may be longer.

They rate things AO, it's just that the developers get it back afterward so that they can make changes and resubmit. There are something like 7 games that were ever actually published with an AO rating, I think.

Japan censors their internet pornography, okay?

You're missing the best example, Fallout 3 - USA, R18+ Rating, banned from australia, change how the stimpac's are taken and its a M game!

Edit: Fucked that up, Same game rated R18+ here, and its only M in america.

How are they taken in Australia? How were they taken to begin with...it was an implied injection!

It's funny, because we had a similar censorship deal.

    The stimpacks are morphine.

It was fine back when the old FO games came out, but nowadays you can't slip that past the censors. So they slapped a different name on it and it's good to go.

Murdering children had to go too. Which is incredibly stupid because now the little pricks are bullet proof and completely flame resistant. What's worse is that the original games penalized you for accidentally taking out a kid. To the point where the games almost became unplayable with the child killer trait.

Let's teach people that children are bulletproof.

And to really drive the irony home: You can STILL SELL THE CHILDREN INTO SLAVERY.

And the game features examples of SEX SLAVERY.

So, clearly, the implied pedophilia is also acceptable.

    Fucked if i know.
If the goverment is forcing me to play a game, then im not going to pay for it, if im not paying for it, im getting the USA version.

    According to the ACB board report, the drug content was not removed entirely from the revised version of the game, but the animation showing the actual usage of the drugs was removed;
