    Default Overboard!

    Greetings again one and all,

im having a biff moment here and i need a guru to point me in the right direction. Ive downloaded this wonderful little game and did the whole unpakkiso thing, but im left with a folder full of .bin files. Whilst one of them is clearly the game iso itself standing at 120 something meg, the others must be the audio files as the game currently runs with sfx only, no music, and each subsiquent .bin is around 20 meg each which would figure about right. Have i missed out a step in the process to make one complete file?

As always, your help is much appreciated

Maybe Pakkiso did the its thing too far? Was it originally an ECM file?

those ECMed files are Non-Redump and are not worth collecting, most are bad images .

but if you still want it you will need the unecm exe offa Neil corletts website and Monkeys audio, to decompress the ecm and the ape files if it has any.

grab the cue sheet from here extract the correct one for your game to the same folder as all the bin files and mount the cue sheet with daemon tools... have fun

The File, when still rar'd, contained 1 x .7z file, which being the largest i can only assume is the bulk iso, and 30 x .ape files. When i convert them manually i still just end up with 31 .bin files which renders the game playable, but obviously with the same issue of no music.

I apologise now if this is a stupid question and there is an obvious answer glaring me in the face, but right now i cant see the wood for the trees lol

Cheers for the Help Zorlon, that certainly made sense upon reading it, however it fails to mount

I thought this may be due to a bad download so ive re-done it, still no joy

again you need those 2 programs to uncompress those non-redump files.

(drag and drop the ECMed .Bin onto the Unecm.exe)

yeah ive done it that way as well as the automated route, both with exactly the same results. I have also used the monkeysaudio method to decompress the .ape files, leaving me with a ton of .wav files to go with my un emc'd .bin file. The cue sheet ive downloaded as advised by zorlon hasnt helped either as damon tools nor any other program ive used (magic disc, alcohol etc...) is able to mount the iso from said cue file.

Im worried im starting to sound a bit thick now.... lol

open your original Cue in notepad and rename the files as needed, then mount in deamon tools lite and use a program like image burn and remake the image to a single bin/cue

You sir, are a life saver!

Why is it once you've done these things they seem so painfully obvious and make you feel rather stupid! Thanks for you patience with my idiotic questions, you have made me a happy man!
