...but people barely ever read the stickies and still ask the same questions, so I'm not sure if it was worth it.

The thing that gets me, is they go to for example, the PS2 emu website, download it, install it, then ask for help here.

I'm currently installing Apache.
I plan on using Ubuntu as my "work" OS, since Windows isn't really suited for running certain frameworks. Namely, RubyOnRails, which I need to use to write apps for a couple of projects that I'm working on.

Well... I suppose I don't need to use it, but I don't like mixing up everything when the majority of the code is written for Rails, and everything that I hack and slash into it is written in PHP. Makes for a very... messy... end result.

Therefore... install Ubuntu for Rails. And to give it a shot, because quite honestly I am quite curious. I'm sure that I'm not going to end up using it nearly as much as I would like (or other people on this board would like), but it's a very interesting experience. I feel like I'm really earning my time on the computer now. Everything was just too simple using Windows.

I find Apache is very easy to use in Ubuntu and sometimes boot up ubuntu on a VM just to run it.
