    what is the best gba emu for windows out there right now?
    where can I buy a joystick to play on my laptop?

    visual boy advance. much better than no$gba but its kinda your call. and as for a joystick i have no idea but couldn't hurt to check radio shack or best buy. just get one with a usb.

    Yes VBA, but do NOT look at radio shack or best buy, their prices are way too high, but that's your choice. If I were you I would check ebay and cragslist.

    actually, the best GBA/GBC/GB Emulator out is VBA-M , The original VBA is dead and a new team took it up and greatly enhanced it.

    yea vba is what i use and i use a xbox 360 controller with usb receiver its awesome

    ya but, take a look at the reviews

    what you want is either a corded 360 controller or a controller converter.

    Personally, i use a PsX/2 to Usb converter.
    This is the same one i have and is very cheap. And if you have an old PsX or Ps2 controller laying around then youre already a step ahead.

    I just dl the vba-m emu, but I cant open it, please help.

    *.7z files extract with 7-zip

    I still personly use the original vba nothing wrong with it, unless they fixed the need for vba-over for a the few games that did not auto detect the save type or added extra features, purhaps link up, no idea will check it out myself when I get time... do tend to play gba from a flash kit though anyway/emu for console rather than for PC

    thanks zorlon, but no dice.I cant get the damn thing to work . I dl .7z and tried that way but nothing. i gess im ignorant or something.

    can you extract zip files?

    if yes grab the attached

    7-zip is a prog you install then you can right click on a *.7z file or any other archive file type and hit extract
