Or just pirate it for PS3/360? Win!![]()
Willingly participating in viral marketing.
Thanks for killing PC Gaming, bro.
If you've no interest in Portal, then you've no reason to pirate it either - that's a moot point. If you're interested, buy it, that's all I said. (And that wasn't even directed at you in particular.) Also I don't see why MS wouldn't ban anyone on Live they could detect pirating, so I don't think I really believe that. (That makes no business sense whatsoever.)
It's not out, it was leaked.
I'm not saying you can't get away with it, but it doesn't seem logical at all. There has to be more to it than that. MS isn't just going to ignore pirating on its console until a first party title is played, unless they're completely retarded. (Screwing all third party developers and protecting only themselves is a good way to piss off third party developers.)
Not to a complete cynical jackass but its this impatience that rushes the game makers to put out a game that is subpar to what i could have been. So while i can understand the urge to want to play an upcomming game like Portal 2, it might just be for the better if we let them take their god sweet time. I know i want a game that kicks total ass so if i gotta wait a while so be it ^.^
They're not releasing it any earlier than they were already planning on, if you think that these stupid alternate reality games have anything to do with the release, you're retarded.
it's viral marketing and you're willingly participating in it, and therefore saying "YES VIRAL MARKETING IS GOOD KEEP DOING IT"
What's wrong with viral marketing? If it's fun or good enough that it goes viral, then it's clearly something with some traction with the target audience. If it doesn't, it's not like it's any loss on our end; it's their own marketing department that will have to answer for it to the shareholders. There's a reason why things like Superbowl ads are interesting.
