Seriously though, an EP convention would be so much fun. If I ever become rich I'm fucking hosting it, I don't care.

That's awesome man, I've always wanted to try and get into rom hacking but I'm really not cut out for it. Just not a mathematically inclined mind I guess. The most productive thing I usually do is organize my movie collection or something.

One of these days, if I ever get another spare computer, I'll give Linux a try. I don't have the patience right now to install a dual-OS on this laptop, and I can't see myself using it that much. Windows 7 works fine for me.

Also, sidenote: Uncharted 2 is a lot of fun. Definitely going to have to buy 3 when it's released.

It's very efficient as well and easier on your hardware because it uses less resources than commercial OS offerings. No fragmentation as well, so it's easier on your HDD. There's a reason why this server runs on Linux, why most servers run on Linux and why Google runs on Linux.

It's actually very easy to set your Windows 7 to dual boot Ubuntu, I posted a tutorial here: http://www.epforums.org/showthread.p...fter-Windows-7 (Installing Ubuntu instead of Lubuntu is the only difference)

Grab a 64-bit ISO if you have 4 GB of RAM or more if you decide to set it up. It doesn't take long at all, the majority of the time it'll take is installing Ubuntu.

Luckily for me there's an awesome editor for Earthbound called PKhack. Unfortunately there's no real user manual, only a bunch of random documentation as well as information on Starmen.net PKhack forums. There's not too much math involved, because the editor does a lot of it for you. Although I had to learn how to convert a hexidecimal number to a decimal number so I could figure out at what levels each character learned their PSI powers at.

I don't know if you've ever played Earthbound. If not, you should definitely go and download it right now and play it.

I should clarify: I have no real use to use Linux at all at the moment and am comfortable with my OS. Also, I have used one of their recovery CDs before to get some photos and videos from a hard drive of mine where XP had gotten massively fucked up, but that's about as far as I felt like going. Beyond that, I don't really feel like installing it.

You'll miss having to do maintenance on your computer if you do use it. I know I do. :*(

One day. Maybe next time I have a shitload of days off in a row, I'll dedicate a day to fiddling with it.
Do they have a version of MSN Live Messenger for Linux? Seems like a silly question, but I actually do use it...
