When I was a little kid I always looked forward to going over to see my grandparents on Saturdays. My grandad was a retired engineer so he was really into technology and always had all sorts of cool stuff lying around the house, but when he got that C64 we had so much fun figuring out all the different commands and trying to get games to work when they wouldn't load. I was five years old and if it wasn't for him I don't know if I'd have much of an interest in computers at all. God I miss him.

My Grandad always had a computer as well, not ever very good ones, but that sure as hell didn't stop me playing emulators and whatnot on it. Of course, the only games we had at our disposal were games his friends brought around on copied discs. For someone who's spent the last say 15 years using computers he's still terrible with them. Any slight problem and his solution is to format and reinstall Windows.

I'm on the Dual Shock version, so if this is the original perhaps DS was made a bit harder.
If not, how did he make it not spawn those damn Lickers?
Unsure what version he is playing, was watching a few other vids and it could be a japanese version he is playing?

The best RE2 version is the PC one.

    It has a Hard Mode.

    And goddamn, it's Hard.

All I can think of is how amazing my grandad would find everything we have today. I think the internet alone would blow his mind.

The Internet has come an incredibly long way.

The other week I was watching a really old gaming programme on YouTube from like 1996, and I was shocked to see they had a website and were advertising it on the programme.

Now you don't think twice about anything having a website, but back then...

This TV definitely seems to be on its way out, looks like I have to spend the money I *was* wanting to buy driving lessons with on a new TV.

Everyone says Samsung are one of the best manufacturers of TVs, but we've had 2 and both have been plagued with problems. I'd never EVER buy another TV made by Samsung.

I remember some of those gaming programmes used to give out cheats at the end but they'd scroll down the screen at hyper speed so you had to tape it and slow motion your way through to make anything out, or you'd buy Nintendo Magazine System every month for the strategy guides. Nowadays you'd just think "fuck that, GameFAQS".

But yeah, it's crazy, isn't it? I bet no-one on that programme thought we'd be watching it on the internet fifteen years later either.

I was going to buy a new video card, then I got a hard drive, then a TV, and now books and a game instead of the card. I sense a pattern developing .

I remember taping late night gaming programmes as they were always on late at night.
