Argh, I haven't even seen a video of it yet. And to think that the MegaDrive Hard Corps is one of my favorite sidescrollers ever. I should be ashamed of myself.

It's....different. I don't think it's up to the standards of HC, but it's certainly one of the better Contra games.

It kind of plays like the bastard child of 3 and Japan's version of HC if it were abandoned shortly after birth and subsequently raised by guilty gear. Provided it was fed a steady diet of the good bits of the recent bad contras. Which ends up better than it sounds.

It's considerably different from HC in a few ways (only one character has a unique weapon vs all characters having 4 unique weapons, the levels are actually challenging while boss fights are a bit less central to the game, there's more focus on humanoid enemies/characters, no branching storyline (which could potentially dick up the canon anyway, so that's kind of a hard thing to pull off anyway) etc) but it's still pretty great.

Windows is the better OS because there are more programs and support. I got a free Mac laptop a while back, I used it for about 10 seconds before I decided I was better off using Windows.

Oh no, I wasn't having a go at you. I just think it's kinda funny that people complain about viruses and malware with Windows. If the average home user has a good anti-virus programme, a decent firewall and is still having problems, they don't need to install Linux, they need to either learn not to click every banner ad in sight or stop using computers period.

Seriously, I've used Windows since I was a small child and can count the number of virus/malware infections I've had on one finger. The fuck are some of these people doing?

Macs themeselves aren't bad. In fact, the OS is pretty neat in its own way but still retaining an obvious Linux feel. I have several computers, and a MacBook Pro is one of them. It's good for what it is, like using exclusive software by Apple, by outside of the the first-party software there isn't much that keeps me away from other OS's.

The real bashing is just Apple themselves. Macs are monopolized, making it seem like they're worth more than they actually are. And the overwhelming feel of 'Macs are for cool people' douchbaggery is generally the reasoning for ignorant flaming of the wrong items.
