Well, the only time I was riding in the trunk the driver was intentionally flooring it over speed bumps to be a dick, so even trying to brace myself didn't really work out too well.
Uh yes. Of course. Me neither.
Me neither, especially rattlesnakes. Hearing that sound alone out in the desert will chill you to the bone. Freaking scary, but the rattle looks cool at least.

And yeah right! Those little bastards are mean, and they like to travel in packs. Plus the ones farther up north have fairly large tusks, although I suppose those would qualify as wild boars more than javelinas.
I love the desert. Maybe it's just because I've lived here for so long, but it has a kind of unique beauty to it. The fact that nature can even exist in such a harsh climate is amazing to me. There's a bush out here too called the Creosote Bush that has a very distinctive smell after it rains, it's my favorite smell in the entire world. And Native American history is pretty incredible. There's all sorts of creepy stuff out here though. Skinwalkers...

Let's just say I don't go into the desert alone at night if I can help it. You get that feeling that you're being watched.
