Er... I'm not British, and it was also made in America. I was just joking anyways. It's one of those "so bad it's good" kind of things. The best part about it though, is that the guy who wrote and directed it is also the main character, and one of the worst actors ever. He originally intended for the film to be a serious drama, but when it was released everyone thought it was hilarious and so the director/lead started marketing it as a "black comedy" and sort of started acting like that was his intention all along, despite what everyone else involved in the making of the film has said. The movie has become somewhat of a cult classic though, almost like the new Rocky Horror. It still has midnight screenings at least once a month in LA.
Not at all.
*glass cover of sarcasm meter shatters and breaks*
Also, Adult Swim only plays The Room to troll people on AF, that's what also makes it awesome.![]()
Mmm, Tuna fish on rye has been eaten. I feel much better now.
Now if only I could do something about this pesky "having to be at work in less than 7 hours" problem I have.![]()
Pre-2000, if there are fight scenes of any sort with recurring non-boss enemies, the footage will be recycled at least 3 times throughout the series. See: Macross, Gundam, etc.
If the series has more than 13 episodes without a "LOL FIRST SEASON SOLED GUD LETS MAKE ANOTHER SEASONZ" break in the middle, there will be a recap episode consisting almost entirely of recycled footage, perhaps with about a minute of new footage consisting of a major character in some sort of hearing/briefing telling their superiors about everything that's happened. Of course, the audio track will be new, so you still have to watch it for extra insight and "Daym, she haz 1 hawt voycse."
But at least it's not one of those minute+ scenes in Evangelion where the frame doesn't change at all, and you're not sure if the file's corrupted or something. IT'S BUILDING TENSION SO YOU'RE RELIEVED WHEN SOMETHING HAPPENS. LIKE IN MUSIC.
Well, bed for me. Its 5am.
