When I first meet people words just don't come out, I can only speak if spoken to. I hate it.

You don't need to have amazing conversations with everyone. If it's really a problem for you, try and get used to making small talk. Little things, like if you're waiting at a bus stop just ask someone if they've got the correct time. Just try and get used to to talking to people you don't know.

But you know, the more you do it you'll learn most people are pretty cool. They aren't going to bite your head off for talking to them.
