I actually don't own any pets. I've had cats in the past, but they have always "technically" belonged to my girlfriend at the time, and they inevitably leave when said girlfriend leaves. Although I am allowed one cat or one small dog in my apartment, so I've toyed with getting a cat.

Dogs are too much work for me.

That's not even the half of it.

Lucky for me I happen to have in my possession an industrial vacuum cleaner. Apparently my lazy, arrogant mind has reasoned out that although I may not enjoy the idea of cleaning my house, the presence of the industrial vacuum gives the impression that if I did care about the upkeep of my surroundings, I would be taking the responsibility very seriously indeed.


I suppose it is what I would call a dynamic balance of the artistic persuasion.
