Her and I used to tag team the game -- she could make it to World 8, but had a lot of trouble with a couple of the levels, and I could rarely make it to World 8 but knew how to beat most of those levels.
So my mother would play through Worlds 1-7 (letting me play the occasional level), then hand the controller to me for the last couple of levels of World 8, and we would rock that shit out.
My dad stopped playing video games around 1997. He was halfway through Super Mario 64, but he got so busy at work he just didn't have time anymore, and never got back into it. He was really good at sports games, though.
That`s pretty much what me and my dad did. My NES was on for 7 consecutive days so we could beat it. Unfoutunatly, we could never beat that damn mini castle right before his castle. You know the one where it`s like a huge ass maze? I only beat it once on the NES, and it took a good 10 lives, several leafs and stars and a whole lotta patience.
I can't believe I got the admins to give me a Sesame Street username.
