kazaa sharing
just found a lil info hope it helps
Kazaa is one big network that has over 1,500,000 users on it. If every one who did a search that went threw all those users, you would never get past searching. So, the Kazaa sharing network (Fast Track) is split up in what is called nodes. Most likely none of your friends are on the same node as you. So how do you share your files with your friends with out running your own ftp server?
Well, you start out by finding your ip address. There are a few different ways depending on which Windows version you have. One way is to go start / programs / accessories / command prompt. Then in the new window type ipconifg. You should have a ip address number like 11.11.11.11 (four number, three dots) Now in internet explorer type in http://11.11.11.11:1214 but have the 11.11.11.11 be your ip number. You should see the files that you are sharing. Now you can share this with your friends and they can do the same thing. Just give them the http://11.11.11.11:1214 with your ip address in it and tell them to put it in there internet explorer. Tada.
Keep in mind this doesn't work 100% of the time and that your ip address may change. If you a dial-up modem user your ip address will probably change every time you log on. Also, if you don't have any upload slots available, when your friends try it, they won't be able to download any of your files

I found out that when you search, you only search a portion of the users possible (Nodes as stated above) and everytime you log on you are addressed a different node. So if you can't find anything, logging in and out might help.

yea if ya have a firewall, winipcfg will only tell you your internal ip. go to a place like www.myipaddressis.com to get your real ip
so to do this should u have kazaa running? and if a person wants to download one of the files when they double click will it appear in their kazaa traffic?

well, ultimatex, you try going there, and if your ip isn't 192.68.*.* or 172.0.0.1, then it's your ip.
