To me they're like girl-only RPG's or something, because all of the girls I know who play stuff, love KH to death, and guys are pretty much meh about it.

Ontopic: The World Ends With You, I keep hearing it's the second coming of Christ in JRPG's, and for the NDS, but damn, I got bored quite quickly at it and I loathed the quasi-Squall like character.
KH is a decent series, but there is a bit too many yaoi undertones (for instance, the intro song makes it seem like slash to me. No wonder there are so many SoraXRiku Ships). As I was playing through them I tended to like the more original parts rather than the disney replays, although there were several worlds I liked. Overall I think girls were the more target demographic with boys being more of a fringe demographic.

I disagree with you on all three points.

X is my favorite FF title (but certainly not my favorite RPG). The battle system is great. I never felt that any of the characters were useless as they each had a role. Many say that they could eventually all be the same, but that is only if you were to grind that much. For the main story and for much of the metagame, charcters were individualized to certain strengths and weaknesses. Elements weren't put into some complex rock paper scissors, but rather in a simple and logical dualistic relationship of fire and ice being opposite and water and lightning being opposite. The story felt incredibly epic at times and the villian was truly worthy to be called so. Tidus may have been a bit talkative, but it was welcoming after Cloud and Squall. The characters all grew incredibly from the beginning to the end. It wasn't even that linear as all you had to do was go backwards, the only thing was that you didn't have a world map to traverse locations and instead traversed the locations themselves.

I know X-2 was pretty much fan-service to bring in more fans. It's problems were mainly that boys felt embarrassed due to the visual style and general shoujo feel of it and girls felt embarrassed due to the echi pervertedness of it. What those people missed was an incredible active time battle system and a deeply open ended game. As I was playing the game, my lack of reflexes often left me trying to keep up and I ultimately have beaten the game a few times and have gotten the best ending as well. There were many ways to beat the game. You could go only to the required missions and beat it relatively quick, or sink as many hours as you want before beating each chapter. Having a sort of follow up to such a great game as X was also worth it. Even though Sin has been defeated, Spira is still warring with itself. New Yevon's plight of wanting to move at a slower pace is understandable, but they still haven't eliminated the corruption within their numbers. Likewise, the Youth League truly wants the truth, they want knowledge of the past. Their problem is that they act before thinking and complete hatred for New Yevon. Both sides came very close to massacring each other. If I had to side with somebody, it would be the Machine Faction. They want to unearth all of the technology they can find and spread it to make people's lives better. Overall, none of the groups are evil and when people complain of the general lightheartedness of X-2, they forget it is a side entry, not a main entry. Thinking of it as an expansion on the story also helps. Overall, it is a decent game that is way underrated and way to hated.

At first I didn't like XII, but I recently replayed it and I have grown a liking to it. Whereas the others have battle break up exploration, XII tried to insert it with it instead. Battles were as managed as you liked with the introduction of Gambits. There were simple ones like attacking the nearest or more complex ones like casting a spell on an ally with the reflect status effect. The idea is that you are effecting more subtle changes in strategy rather than controlling their actions directly (though you can still do that as well). Gambits were designed to take a bit of the repetition from gameplay to allow players convenience and also to allow them to observe the battle better. The story was much more political than others except those in the ivalice series. Out of all of the characters, the only one I didn't really like was Vaan because to me, he just didn't belong. On that same note, Penelope didn't really fit either, but she was more mature than Vaan as well. The villains weren't as two dimensional either. Cid felt it was time to put the reigns of power back into the hands of man or something like that. The Ocurians wanted Ashe to basically nuke Arcadia and tried to deceive her into doing it for revenge. The outcast was much better. Vayne bloodied his hands so his brother's would be clean. It was clear he was drunk on power and that he felt it was necessary to use such power to rule. He thought it was best, he didn't want to destroy the world. Overall, I feel that the game is really good and I would probably consider it my second favorite FF game.

REmake and RE0 are my favorite Resident Evil games. Re4 is good though. One thing I don't like as much is that the changes present in 4 take away some of the atmosphere. 5 completely rid itself of the elements that made RE popular and though I like it, it just isn't as good.

now what is overrated? just about everything out for the ps3 and 360. except some of the downloadables.
You make it sound like there is no good ps3 or 360 game. While it is definitely possible, you are referring to those that are like "GRAFIX!" then I understand, but if you are saying what it sounds like, then you are incorrect.
