It really does feel a bit like the first generation in that everything's completely new as far as the Pokemon and region are concerned, and the plot is actually integrated into the usual battle-the-gyms linear format in a way that's more reminiscent of the Adventures manga. It's still the same basic "save the world" RPG formula Pokemon's been working with since RSE, but I think that, as far as the series' past entries are concerned, it's done better with more world involvement than before. For one thing, gym leaders actually do stuff besides sit in their gyms and watch the chaos go on. The graphics are also, dare I say it, actually pretty, or at least striking at times, such as the first time you cross Brooklyn Skyarrow Bridge and see Manhattan Castelia City. I think I would like to see GameFreak push the formula a bit more, but I think it's actually a rather good continuation of the series in general.
Let's see, more pics to upload to the group...uploaded that, uploaded that, Touhou, Touhou, bunny-girl, obscure magical girl reference, Touhou, uploaded that, need to translate that, won't scale to thumbnail...hmmm.
