Well, there were only two, but that was a lot of difference compared to other FF's, there was a lot of choice about what point you were going to go next, and so on.

Two endings? I hope that was a typo. It had SIX. Or 3 more than a lot of WRPGs. On top of each of the individual plots having multiple endings depending on how you went about things. And what felt like more sidequests and minigames than every other FF up to that point combined. WHY ARE YOU SO UNDERAPPRECIATED X-2?

X-2 tried to do something different - people hate it.
XII tried to do something different - people hate it.

I'm starting to see a pattern here.

Oh well, more delicious Balthier left for me, I suppose.

As soon as I saw this thread, I became pretty sure someone would mention Final Fantasy at least 15 times.

Too bad it isn't as fun as games like Eye of the Beholder .

I dunno. I wouldn't consider myself immensely picky. I just know what I don't like, and I know it loudly, as it were

SIX? THE FUCK? I thought there were little variations or something, now, I shall tell my 360 games to GTFO while I enjoy one of the best games of that franchise.

RE SHOULD LET YOU WALK AND SHOOT AT THE SAME TIME, DEAD SPACE DID IT, AND THEY SHOULD DO THE SAME, EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE ENJOYED RE4 BEFORE AND YOU COULDN'T SHOOT AND WALK AT THE SAME TIME IN THERE, IN FACT, RE4 IS NOW A BIG PIECE OF STEAMING SHIT, AND IF YOU LIKE IT, YOU HAVE POOR TASTE.

    Default overated games

Almost anything coming out today not on the Wii...God of War, The Force Unleashed, Modern Warfare, Final Fantasy VII

I think Final Fantasy VII is the most overrated for me.

Huh, I didn't even know X-2 had multiple endings. That's pretty neat, I guess. The only thing I remember is that you could side with those who still believe in Yevon, and the... well, less conservative dudes. Joining up with the latter group was kind of a no-brainer for me, as I've pretty much had enough of Yevon and his bullshit after the first game.

And I'm so saving that gif for later use.

Final Fantasy VII didn't exactly come out 'today', really

It's fairly overhyped, certainly, though I really quite like the game, but it's hardly a recent game

I think New Yevon was the way to go if you wanted to get the 100% for the 'good' ending. It's been a while.

    Let's see..

    Guitar hero games
    Chrono trigger
    Final fantasy games
    Halo
    Pokemon

I liked some of them before the fans ruined the games, but they're just hopelessly overrated now. Don't like halo though. It's just another boring shooter. Choose map, find weapon, kill or die, respawn. Repeat to eternity with no chance for storyline or substance to game at all.
