I like the fact that you don't know who is going to win a SF match the moment the game starts .

Once watched a Daigo game where he slipped up and was at 1% health, came back from that game, and then proceeded to perfect the next two matches.

I mean, there are so many tournament fighting games, that it's hard to say who exactly can brag.

People like Justin Wong are awesome at MvC3, AND SSFIV, but there are people like Daigo that will destroy Justin at street fighter, but have never played MvC at a high level before.
Because he doesn't play the game at all, durr. Daigo is one of those technical players who doesn't really like fast games. He used to play Guilty Gear back in like 06' for a bit (and was the shit at it), but he stopped because he felt the game was too fast for him.

It's funny.. Because while WoW never has held my attention for longer than a month at a time, I can't deny that there's very little out there in the MMO market that has ever even come close to matching it, much less anything that's been technically better. (There are other games I've liked more than WoW, but that doesn't mean I can deny the superiority WoW has in many ways over them.)

That's a lot of games if you're paying attention.

The same match everyone who's into the fighting game scene has seen? Yeah, pretty cool.

Very few games fall out of the tournament scene, unless they're outright terrible. People still play SFII in the tourney's for cripes sake.

I'm not into the fighting scene, i guess that's why the slower SF is something i like.

    And that's the problem.

WoW gets tons of hate, but there isn't anything better out there

I don't see why WoW is so hated by a lot of people.. It did a LOT of things right. Far more right than wrong, anyway.. I just don't care for it too much personally. The game is devoid of atmosphere in my opinion, and the WC story feels as though it lost all meaning. It's just not my cup of tea.. I prefer some other games as a result, but those have major problems and.. yea, they could learn a lot from WoW.

It's a pretty crappy situation to be sure..

They do regularly, actually. SFII is a special case, partly because Capcom won't stop shilling it, EVO won't drop it (seriously), and it's like the thing that no-one forgets made the mark.

But how often do you see a World Heroes Perfect Tourney? Or a Darkstalkers Tourney? Outside of Japan, I mean. They still happen, it's just rare as fuck.
