Probably has to do with a) the loss of screenshots/descriptions in the rollback and b) the inclusion of forum uploads into the drawing.

If it wasn't a drawing, people would quit a week in when they realize someone else has a higher tally than they have the willingness to compete with. As a drawing, everyone who enters at least has a chance.
