Old games take the bulk of their difficulty from it. While modern games aren't free of it, they're at least less bullshit about it. The diffuculty comes from the game itself actually being hard.

Also, battletoads. Because not only were a lot of the jumps hard, but about 1 out of every 20 jumps would have you clip through the floor.
I eventually found comedy in it.
Constantly respawning enemies and infinite supplies of grenades being thrown at you = rage.
And the SNK boss syndrome.
Pretty much every SNK game has it.
There was also one game that when i played it, was hard at that time.
I think the game was called 'One' for the PSX.
I can't believe I paid almost double what I think Dead Space is worth, but it's because it's doubled/tripled in value since Dead Space 2's release. I really want to replay Dead Space 1 before I go through 2, so I had to get it.![]()
