Yeah, Ubuntu seems pretty good other than this brightness bug. I'm honestly shocked it recognises the WLAN chip in this netbook.
I love OSX, it works perfectly for me. Stable as hell and after nearly a year it runs just as well as the day I got it. In comparison my Windows 7 machine has slowed down to a crawl and I've barely used it for months.
I also heard ubuntu is not really tailored for laptops.
My windows system has been running consistently for a long time, my friends Macbook he got two years ago has caused him nothing but trouble, it's really how you maintain your system more than anything else.
