Hello, i am the casting Couch. you have probably seen me in locations that you can ether not tell anyone, or places you wish you never visited if you know what i mean
ITT: People who don't know what an oxymoron actually is.
You're an oxymoron, Hypnos. The civil war thing is just a pun, Garren.
I think oxymoron is one, but I need to freshen up on my latin (boy, will I look silly if it turns out to be greek).
Michael Ballack, he scores free-kicks.
He's got black hair, and he's german.
Michael Ballack, trains in paddocks.
in his spare time, HE FARMS HADDOCKS!
Watch me play Super C, guys!!
i dont think it is a pun, we actually call it a civil war and i thought about it and that doesnt make sense. then again we are a wierd culture.
"Civil" is a word with multiple definitions. You seem particularly attached to the eighth example here, which would not be the appropriate definition in the context of a "civil war." It is not an oxymoron.
Also, I don't know who you're referring to as "we," but if I'm not mistaken, you live in the US, which is by no means unique in having a civil war chronicled in its rather short history.
From Wiki:
Oxymoron is derived from the 5th century Latin "oxymoron", which is derived from the Ancient Greek "ὀξύς" (oxus, sharp) + "μωρός" (mōros, dull). The Greek "ὀξύμωρον" (oxumōron) is not found in the extant Greek sources, according to the Oxford English Dictionary.
tl;dr Elmdor is quite right.![]()
