Actually, I totally lucked out. My grandma decided to buy a new car when my grandpa passed away and she gave me his old one, which was still in pretty good condition all things considered. Not that I was happy about my grandpa dying, but it was definitely nice to not have to worry about monthly payments and know that it was completely paid off and in my name. I had zero money to my name at the time, so I wouldn't have even had the option of buying a used car.

Yeah, it was pretty sweet. It's my first car too, so I'm glad it's lasted as long as it has. It still runs great other than the occasional stall, and even then it's only on turns.

Nah, he was one of the kindest guys you would ever meet, and had a great sense of humor. I don't think it was possible for anyone not to like him. He was definitely prepared to fuck shit up if he had to, though.
